My Best Birthday Ever!
Today at 9:18 am, I turned twelve years old. I had a great day today and had a lot of fun. I didn't have a party, but I was not bored for a second. My day was very eventful, and I spent the majority of it with my dad.
When I woke up, I watched about an episode and a half of SHIELD with my parents, followed by a tasty breakfast of uttapam and sweet warm milk made by my skilled mother. I then mistakingly spoiled my father's surprise by discovering a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 in a case. By the way, Pokémon Go worked well on it, as opposed to our old tablet. Soon later, my dad and I left to downtown San Jose to play Pokémon Go, as per my request. We went to the park next to the start/finish line and the stage of the Rock 'n Roll Marathon Series. We both went on the Musical Swings, which plays music while one swings. We loved it and rate it better than any other swing. Nearby, I traversed the tiles in between a grid of water fountains, which had a distinct chlorine smell that reminded me of water parks I went to with my family when I was younger. We then visited a beautiful sitting area with chairs and tables, next to a large building. We sat around for a few minutes, and then headed back to a garage where our car was parked.
But our adventure was only half over. For another twenty minutes or so, we went around the area catching Pokémon and spinning the discs of Pokéstops. We then headed back to Milpitas, where several surprises awaited us. We found many rare Pokémon because it was noon on a Saturday (spawn point.), and I leveled up several times. (I am Level 10 now, and when I started, I was Level 3.)We came back home to find a filling lunch of puri, chole, pulab, dhai vada, and kheer, again cooked by my mom. Then at 1:00, Ms. Kathy came, and I got pencils, a sketchbook, pastels, and an electric sharpener as presents. With her, I went to the park, played slither.io, played with a soccer ball and learned how to play Candy Crush. After she left, I watched "Supersize Me", a documentary about a man who ate nothing but McDonalds for one month to see what happened. I paused it halfway through to go play Pokémon Go with my dad (again). Around seven o'clock, we dropped Jhabry at home and went to Great Mall to pick up dinner from the food court, while simultaneously playing our favorite game. We brought a footlong from Subway, and two noodle, rice, and chicken entrees and soda from China Max. At half past eight, we enjoyed our meal, after which I went upstairs (to see my dad evolve Vulpix into Ninetales.) I then came to write this blog, as recommended by my dad.
I hope to return someday the love and effort that my parents have put forth to ensure that my day continued without complaints and that I was always happy. And they succeeded. They do whatever is in their capacity to fulfill my requests. They let me do whatever I wanted today, and didn't say no. I want to take this opportunity to thank my family for consistently supporting me during the eleventh year of my life.
On this day, every year, I end the day being so very, very grateful to my loving parents. Thank you, mom and dad.
