Foreign Lands by Robert Louis Stevenson
Foreign Lands on my (http://www.blogger.com)

Up into the cherry tree
Who should climb but little me
I held the trunk with both my hand and looked abroad on foreign lands
I saw the dimpling river pass
And be the sky's blue looking glass
The dusty roads go up and down
With people trampling into town
If i could find a higher tree
Farther and farther I should see
To where the grown up river slips
Into the sea among the ships
To where the roads on either hand
Lead on into fairy land
Where all the children dine at 5
and all the playthings come alive
Part 2

The robin will wear on his bosom
A vest that is bright and new
And the loveliest wayside blossom
Will shine with the sun and dew
The leaves today are whirling
The brooks are dry and dumb
But let me tell you my darling
That spring will be sure to come
Part 3

There must be rough, cold weather
And winds and rains so wild
Not all good things together
Come to us here my child
Part last

So when some dear joy loses
Its beauteous summer glow
Think how the roots of trees
Are kept alive in the snow
